"Who am I?" – Alice in Wonderland reinterpreted
On 23 May 2025, over 200 pupils from the middle and upper levels of Klax School presented the result of this year's theatre project week: the play "Who Am I?" — a modern adaptation of Lewis Carroll's classic, Alice in Wonderland.
During the intensive project week, the young people developed all the performance elements themselves in eight themed workshops, including stage design, music, acting, and costume design.
The play centres on Alice, an insecure schoolgirl searching for her place in the world, who embarks on a surreal journey. Encountering strange characters such as the wise Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter and the March Hare along the way, she gradually gains more self-confidence and inner strength. What was particularly impressive was the bilingual realisation of the production in German and English.
The annual theatre project week provides pupils with an opportunity to express themselves creatively, boosts their self-confidence and fosters a sense of community within the school.
Thank you to everyone involved for their fantastic commitment!
